At Three Rivers Animal Hospital, we do everything we can to ensure your pet's health and wellness. However, sometimes accidents happen or diseases strike. When they do, our staff has the knowledge, tools, and experience necessary to provide top-quality pet health care in a safe and timely manner.
Pets are special members of our family. And while we wish we could take them everywhere with us, sometimes that just isn’t possible. If you need to board your four-legged companion, we hope you will place your trust in us. Our exceptional kennel staff will provide your pet(s) with lots of tender loving care while you are away.
We welcome dogs and cats, along with selected other pets—such as pot-bellies pigs, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, ferrets and birds.
Our climate-controlled kennel has separate accommodations for dogs and cats.
For dogs, we offer small, medium, and large cages, as well as indoor runs. If you have an extra-large dog or prefer that your dog be housed in a bigger space, we offer an extra large run for your convenience.
Our canine guests are individually walked at least three times per day. Our feline guests are housed in cat condos that feature perching shelves and a separate litter box area.

We see appointments 6 days a week. From Annual visits, to puppy/kitten booster and Senior Wellness or doctors are here to keep your pets happy and healthy. One of the most important services we provide is the annual physical examination. We check all your pet’s vital systems, create a baseline of health, and proactively catch any situations that might need attention. Other basic services include vaccinations, fecal tests, deworming, dental cleaning and extractions, geriatric physicals, grooming, boarding and toenail trims. For your convenience, animals may be dropped off if you are unable to schedule a specific appointment time.
In House Laboratory
Our veterinary laboratory can produce test results within 30 minutes, enabling us to begin treatment right away for pets that are experiencing an emergency. Complete blood counts (CBCs), blood chemistry panels, and urinalysis results can be obtained quickly so that you and your pet don’t have to wait for vital information when time is of the essence. In addition to emergency diagnostics, we also have the ability to perform same day pre-surgery screenings, thyroid screens, fecal exams, FeLV/FIV tests, PARVO tests, as well as ear, skin, and tumor cytology.
We are equipped with a state-of-the-art digital radiology system to evaluate your pet’s musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. This equipment decreases the stress on your pet by significantly reducing the time it takes for X-rays and therefore the time they need to be held in position. It also enables us to scrutinize the images more closely by allowing magnification and contrast adjustment, all without the need for any additional exposure to your pet. If necessary, we can arrange to have any of our studies read by a board-certified radiologist within 24 hours to increase our ability to determine your pet’s condition.
Some of the more common procedures we perform include spay and neuter, bladder surgery, exploratory, and intestinal surgeries, cherry eye surgeries, FHOs, as well as tumor removals.
Your pet’s safety is our number one priority. We offer a comprehensive pre-operative blood screening through our in-house laboratory to confirm that your pet’s organs and systems are healthy enough for us to proceed. Anesthetics re chosen to suit your pet’s unique health needs. IV fluids can be utilized to administer these and other necessary medications, as well as to ensure your pet is kept hydrated before, during, and after the procedure. We are equipped with specialized monitors to closely observe your pet’s vitals throughout the procedure. After the surgery has been completed, a dedicated staff member will be by your pet’s side to ensure that he or she is comfortable and secure.
Health certificates are necessary to obtain before traveling with your pet within or out of the country. It is important to get information on what paperwork your pet will need to have completed well before your travel departure date. If you are planning to travel by plane with your pet you will need to have them examined by your veterinarian in advance, especially if it has been more than a few months since their last health check or if your pet has any health problems or is in need of vaccinations. Travel by airplane can pose a health risk to pets so it is important to discuss these matters with your veterinarian preceding travel. Be sure to check with the airline you are using for your travel to see which documents are needed prior to the flight. For international travel, we will help you contact the USDA to get all requirements and have your paperwork reviewed and endorsed by APHIS. See the following link for more information on international travel.
A microchip is a miniature transponder, about the size of a grain of rice that is programmed with an exclusive identification number. It is used for permanent identification in pets. The procedure is quick, safe, and pain-free in most pets. The benefits of microchips are that they cannot be misread, and the identification digit is tamper-proof. After a simple registration, the information about the pet and owner is readily retrievable from a databank.
Whether it’s a prescription for a one-time illness, or a special diet for an ongoing health condition, we will happily provide it at our veterinary hospital or through our online pharmacy—whichever is most convenient for you. Our pet pharmacy carries a complete range of flea, tick, and heartworm products. Our prices are competitive, and all of our pet medications are fully guaranteed by the manufacturers, unlike with most online retailers.
We understand that administering pet medicine can be difficult, so our veterinarians will help you to obtain the medications that will work best for you and your pet. In some cases, we can provide medications in alternate formats, such as liquids or transdermals that may be rubbed on the ear. We also carry pill pockets which often make pet medications easier to swallow.
We are fully-stocked with dental care products. From special toothpastes and dental supplements to dog dental chews, we can help you maintain your pet’s pearly whites.
For cats and dogs with skin conditions, we have a range of medicated pet shampoos. We also carry special prescription diets to assist pets facing food allergies and other health conditions, such as diabetes, urinary tract disorders, and kidney disease.
