Laser Therapy

Laser therapy can relive pain, reduce swelling and increase range of motion.

During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.

Ask about our one time treatments to help heal surgical incisions and packages to help with rehab, arthritis or wound management.

In-House Laboratory

Our veterinary laboratory can produce test results within 30 minutes, enabling us to begin treatment right away for pets that are experiencing an emergency. Complete blood counts (CBCs), blood chemistry panels, and urinalysis results can be obtained quickly so that you and your pet don’t have to wait for vital information when time is of the essence. In addition to emergency diagnostics, we also have the ability to perform same day pre-surgery screenings, thyroid screens, fecal exams, FeLV/FIV tests, PARVO tests, as well as ear, skin, and tumor cytology.

Abdominal digital radiograph services

Digital Radiography

We are equipped with a state-of-the-art digital radiology system to evaluate your pet’s musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. This equipment decreases the stress on your pet  by significantly reducing the time it takes for X-rays and therefore the time they need to be held in position. It also enables us to scrutinize the images more closely by allowing magnification and contrast adjustment, all without the  need for any additional exposure to your pet. If necessary, we can arrange to have any of our studies read by a  board-certified radiologist within 24 hours to increase our ability to determine your pet’s condition.

Our hospital is equipped with digital dental radiography. Included with all dentals are full mouth digital dental radiographs to allow our veterinarians to better assess the complete oral health of your pet.

Surgical instruments

Surgery

Some of the more common procedures we perform include spay and neuter, bladder surgery, exploratory, intestinal surgeries, cherry eye surgeries, as well as tumor removals. We also have the ability to bring in an orthopedic surgeon if your pet requires MPL, CCL or other orthopedic surgery.

Your pet’s safety is our number one priority. Included with any surgery package is comprehensive pre-operative blood screening through our in-house laboratory to confirm that your pet’s organs and systems are healthy enough for us to proceed. Anesthetics are chosen to suit your pet’s unique health needs. IV fluids and IV catheter are included with any surgical package and are utilized to administer these and other necessary medications, as well as to ensure your pet is kept hydrated before, during, and after the procedure. We are equipped with specialized monitors to closely observe your pet’s vitals throughout the procedure. After the surgery has been completed, a dedicated staff member will be by your pet’s side to ensure that he or she is comfortable and secure.

Dental care is one of the most crucial elements to your pets' overall health.

Dental Care

We believe that one of the most crucial elements in your pets’ overall health care is attention to dental disease. Regular dental care improves the quality of life and increases the length of life. If left undetected, dental disease can be painful and can lead to even more serious health consequences. Infections can be spread via a tooth root into the bloodstream, eventually leading to major organ damage. When rough tartar accrues on tooth surfaces and touches the gum line it’s time for a proficient oral exam, treatment, and prevention visit. We use digital dental radiographs to evaluate the entire tooth from the crown all the way to the root.

When necessary, dental cleanings can be scheduled for an anesthetized thorough scaling and polishing of the teeth with our ultrasonic scaler and high-speed polisher.

Interstate and International health certificates services

Health Certificates

Health certificates are necessary to obtain before traveling with your pet within or out of the country. It is important to get information on what paperwork your pet will need to have completed well before your travel departure date. If you are planning to travel by plane with your pet you will need to have them examined by your veterinarian in advance, especially if it has been more than a few months since their last health check or if your pet has any health problems or is in need of vaccinations.

Be sure to check with the airline you are using for your travel to see which documents are needed prior to the flight. For international travel, we will help you contact the USDA to get all requirements and have your paperwork reviewed and endorsed by APHIS. We do recommend contacting the clinic as soon as you decide on international travel as some countries require months of preparation prior to travel.

Ensure your pet will always find their way home if lost with microchip services

Microchipping

A microchip is a miniature transponder, about the size of a grain of rice that is programmed with an exclusive identification number. It is used for permanent identification in pets. The procedure is quick, safe, and pain-free in most pets. The benefits of microchips are that they cannot be misread, and the identification digit is tamper-proof. After a simple registration, the information about the pet and owner is readily retrievable from a databank
